“Children are human beings to whom respect is due, superior to us by reason of their innocence and of the greater possibilities of their future.” - Maria Montessori

I chose this quote by Maria Montessori, because it states something that is very close to my heart and hopefully will take root in minds of all people one day, but as it stands today it is something that is so very often being forgotten.

When I first visited the John Wyatt Montessori school I had my doubts. Mainly, because it was the fourth school my daughter was going to attend and I was starting to loose faith in the possibillity of finding a place where she might find what I consider essential elements of healthy development. However, no sooner I entered the school, than I felt extremely hopeful about it. It had almost a home-like feel to it (not meaning the decor, or interior design, but rather the tranquil and peaceful environment). After only a few minutes of introductions and a a short conversation about the general ideas of the Montessori approach I knew I found something very special. The soft spoken, polite and professional staff made extremely good impression. I'm sure Anastazja (Namtan) shared my opinion as this was the first place where she wasn't afraid to be left alone with teachers. Since then every week that followed assured me that we had made a good decision by joining the John Wyatt Montessori on this amazing journey. I can obviously speak only for myself and to some extend for my daughter. With that in mind I wish to say that all three requirements I have for an educational institution have so far been met entirely and undoubtedly. These requirements are as follows:

- Happiness – the very broad term of course, but let me narrow it down. By happiness I mean the feeling of safety, security, belonging to a place. Morevover being accepted for who you are and lastly just simply enjoying your time. I have been keeping a close attention to whether Anastazja felt happy being a part of Montessori family. This was a crucial aspect for me considering our previous awful experiences with other schools. It brought me a lot of joy and relief to see that indeed she’s always been happy with our choice. The school is the place where she is always eager to go and after a break return to.

- Security – the next on the list. For me personally another crucial aspect of the experience. I’m quite convinced that a lot of parents can relate to that. We all want our children to be safe wherever they are. As before I could not find anything to complain about as far as security of the school is concerned. From day one I felt at ease leaving Anastazja at school knowing that she’s in good, capable hands.

- Academic development – to be honest the academic side of the school wasn’t my first concern, or even the second. However when I was convinced that my daughter is happy and safe, I focused my attention on the academic aspect. The idea of the Montessori method being applied seemed interesting at first. This was something new to me, but even though I hadn’t heard about it before, the idea immediately seemed right. I’m strongly convinced that the environment plays one of the most important, if not indeed the most important role in aquiring knowledge. Based on that I was really hopeful at the beginning, and again the school did not disappoint. It is truly a wonderful experience watching your child learn, aquire knowledge and apply it. It is even more exciting, although a bit embarrassing, when your child tells you about things you didn’t know about. Most of all, it is incredible to watch your child think, and by that I mean form an opinion, have their own point of view, be able to discuss and most importantly question things. I strongly believe that this is what Anastazja have learned so far in John Wyatt Mostessori, and for that I’ll always be grateful.

I would like to finish by saying that everyone has obviously their own priorities when it comes to choosing a school for their children. I had mine and following them I chose John Wyatt Montessori. Looking back at that decision I am entirely convinced that I could not have made a better decision. My only wish is that we can continue to be a part of this wonderful experience and that the school will continue to expand and bring not only satisfaction to the parents, but more importantly the love and respect to children to whom it is righfully due.

Thank you, Dariusz Benedyk

"Our seven year old daughter, Calvin, attended John Wyatt Montessori last November through the end of January 2014. Calvin, who has attended several different Montessori schools in various parts of the world, thinks of John Wyatt Montessori as her home. She was at first intimidated by being the youngest of the group, but after drop off on the first day she knew she was home. She grew exponentially within the first week, in attitude, capabilities and interests.

As parents we are thrilled with the methods and freedom the children experience. We are very appreciative of the warm and home-like attitude and atmosphere the school provides. The spirit is also reflected in the children who are kind and genuinely interested in learning, not because they have to but because they are inspired. It is a rare thing when a child looks forward to returning to school the next day." - Calvin's mom

"My daughter, Nina (10), has been attending Elementary Class at JWM for a year and a half. It's always a pleasure to hear her telling what she learned that day with eye wide open and in excited voice tone. I, as a mother, am also amazed about the content she learned at this age. Joining the Montessori method has given her more than just the knowledge, it has grown her way of thinking, attitude toward learning, responsibility and personality. She gained more confident in who she is now." - Nina's mom

Our daughter loves school and as parents we are very happy with her education at JW Montessori.

JW Montessori have a high standard of Montessori education in a beautiful and child-centered classroom setting with teachers who are kind, caring, dedicated and passionate about the Montessori method and importantly know each child so well.

Our daughter enjoys going to school so much that on the weekends she asked if she could also go to school as well. The educational programme and staff make learning so interesting and fun, that my husband and I and our friends from overseas who visited the school, have said JW Montessori makes us want to be students again.

Our first impression of the school was excellent, no children running around or being loud, they seemed mature for their age. Inside the classroom all the children were sitting and quietly busy with their work. But during group time they enjoyed singing songs together and other group activities, as other children their age.

As parents, we highly recommend this school and believe we have made the right choice in trusting our child's education with JW Montessori, so much so, that you look forward to our second child attending there soon.
